Friend Matt D pointed me in the direction of this 70s skate film shot in London, it made my day. Interesting to see the filming, so many nice angles, silhouettes, the light, the slow-mo, etc. I really liked the bits through the pigeons in Trafalgar Square, bombing around Southbank and I'm guessing through the shoppers on Portabello Road market. So good. Seriously wouldn't be out of place in a Static, Traffic or Habitat vid apart from the board and wheel size. Also very stoked to see the original Meanwhile Gardens in there at the start with the Danger Bank. That place was so gnarly and rough and fun, only skated there the once but never forgotten it.

Mike Manzoori
The other day I uploaded Mike Manzoori's part from 'Hating Life'. Probably the highlight of the video with it's mix of gnarly terrain. The tricks in the bowl at Stevenage are nuts, that wall is steep steep.

Think 1998
Remember when Think Skateboards was more than a company for Ams to come up before being poached? Remember when they had a killer ATV team? Remember when their graphics were rad? Ah, me neither on that point, but either way, the team line up for 1998's 'Dedication' video was amazing...Pat Duffy was just on, Wade Speyer was at the top of his game, Drehobl was blowing up and Phil Shao was ruling hard. Sadly this video's Shao part was to be his last after being killed in a tragic car accident. RIP.

Axion Promo 2002
A while back a friend gave me a VHS tape of a rare Axion Shoes promo filmed during a tour of Japan. The best thing about it is that it was probably the last Kareem footage filmed for a long while. Kareem was always a favourite back in the mid 90s. It's always good to see your favourite skaters still skating.

Pete In Town
Old friend Pete was in town in time for Gorm's early birthday drinks in The Oval.

Next day Gorm (with a Bailey's hangover) managed to shoot a quick sequence for Tweaker of Pete:

Midnight Movies

LA band Midnight Movies have consistently been a favourite of mine since I first heard their EP around 2003. I do prefer the older stuff before the line up change, back when Gena Olivier still played drums and they were a 3 piece. Still kill it hard now though. I really need to see them live at some point, until then it's youtube...
On their debut album CD as well as the music there are a couple of videos, the video for Mirage above and also a studio recording of a personal favourite, 'Persimmon Tree'. It wasn't already on youtube so I just uploaded it.
